Terms of Use
These terms cover the use of this website. They are separate from the services agreement that governs any IT work we do for you — if the two ever appear to conflict, your services agreement takes precedence.
Who these terms are with
This website is operated by Geeks360 (ABN 60 486 702 197), of Penrith, NSW. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" refer to that entity.
Using this website
You are welcome to read this website, quote from it with attribution, and share links to it. By using it, you agree to the terms set out here.
What you may not do is straightforward and mostly obvious: do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or the systems behind it, do not probe it for vulnerabilities without our written permission, do not use it to distribute malware, and do not use automated tools in a way that degrades it for other people.
If you are a security researcher and believe you have found a genuine vulnerability, we would rather hear from you than not. Email us and we will respond.
Who owns what is on it
The text, structure, design, code and graphics on this website were produced for Geeks360 and belong to us, other than third-party names used to describe products we work with.
The writing in particular is original work. Reproducing substantial parts of it as your own — on another IT provider's website, for instance — is not something we would treat as a grey area.
Product and company names mentioned on this site belong to their respective owners. We name them to describe what we support, not to imply endorsement or partnership.
Quoting and referencing
Short extracts may be quoted for review, commentary, reporting or research, provided Geeks360 is credited and a link to the source page is included where the format allows.
Republishing whole pages, or reproducing the site's content in a way that competes with it, requires our written permission.
The code behind the site
You may not copy, decompile or reverse engineer the software that runs this website, or attempt to derive its source beyond what your browser ordinarily receives to display a page.
Links to other sites
Where we link to another organisation, it is because we think the destination is useful. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end of it.
Availability
We aim to keep this website available and correct, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Hosting, connectivity and third-party services can all fail, and maintenance sometimes requires taking things offline.
Nothing on this website is a commitment about the availability of the services we provide to clients. Those commitments live in your services agreement.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Geeks360 is not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of this website or from reliance on general information published on it.
Nothing here limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to resupplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute about them is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
Changes
We may update these terms. The current version is always the one on this page, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed.
