Geeks360 — Managed IT Services

About Geeks360

The IT team behind Sydney businesses that cannot afford downtime

We look after the technology that other people depend on to do their jobs — support workers, clinicians, accountants, site managers. That shapes how we work.

Who We Are

A managed IT partner, built around how businesses actually run

Geeks360 is a Sydney-based managed IT provider. We look after the whole of a business's technology — the laptops and the licences, the network and the backups, the security and the day-to-day questions — under one agreement, for a fixed monthly fee.

Most of the businesses that come to us are not looking for a technology upgrade. They are looking for the problem to stop being their problem. Something keeps breaking, nobody owns it, and the person dealing with it is usually the one who can least afford the interruption.

Our job is to take that off you and give it back as something predictable: systems that are looked after, a number that gets answered, and a plan for what happens next.

How we work

  • One team that knows your environment, not a rotating queue
  • Fixed monthly agreements rather than unpredictable hourly callouts
  • Documentation kept current, so nothing depends on one person's memory
  • Security built into the standard build, not sold separately later
  • Plain-language advice — you should not need a translator to make a decision
  • Onsite when it matters, remote when that is faster for you

What Happens Next

What working with us actually looks like

Most IT providers describe what they sell. This is the part that matters more — how the arrangement runs once it is in place, from the first audit through to the reviews you will sit in.

Before anything changes, we document what you have

Onboarding starts with an audit of devices, licences, accounts, backups and the systems your work depends on. Most businesses have not seen this written down before. You get the document whether or not you continue, because it is yours.

We fix the risks first, not the easy things first

The audit produces a prioritised list. Anything that could stop you working — unsupported systems, backups that have never been restored, accounts still active for people who have left — is dealt with before cosmetic improvements.

Your staff get one way to reach us

One point of contact for every request, so nobody has to work out who to ring. Requests are ranked by what they are costing you, not by who asked loudest or most recently.

Urgent means urgent, and it is defined in writing

What counts as urgent for your business is agreed at the start rather than argued about during an outage, and it is written into your agreement. A stopped production line and a slow printer are not the same problem.

Most of the work happens before you notice it

Patching, backup checks, disk and security monitoring run continuously in the background. The measure of the arrangement working is that the number of things you have to report goes down.

You get told what we did and what we recommend

A regular review of what was raised, what changed, what is ageing out and what we would spend money on next — in plain language, so it can go to a board or an owner without translation.

How We Think

The principles we actually run on

Not values on a wall. These are the decisions we make differently to most providers, and the reasons why.

Prevention beats response

A provider paid by the hour has no reason to stop things breaking. A fixed monthly agreement flips that — we only do well if your systems stay up, so the work moves to maintenance and monitoring where it belongs.

Your staff are not the problem

People click things. Passwords get reused. Rather than blaming users, we design the environment so an ordinary mistake does not become an incident, and we explain things in language that helps rather than embarrasses.

Advice you can check

We will tell you when you do not need something. If a migration can wait a year, or a licence tier is more than you need, that is what we will say — even when the bigger option would earn us more.

Security is not an upsell

Multi-factor authentication, managed backup and endpoint protection are part of a competent baseline, not a premium tier. Aligning to the ACSC Essential Eight is the starting point of the conversation, not the end of it.

A backup is only real once restored

Plenty of businesses discover their backup was failing quietly for months at exactly the wrong moment. We monitor restores, not just backup jobs, because the restore is the thing you are actually buying.

Build for the next stage

Decisions get made with your next two years in mind. Adding staff, opening a second site or meeting a new compliance obligation should be a process we run, not a rebuild you pay for twice.

Why Geeks360

What working with us actually changes

Proactive Support

We monitor and maintain your systems continuously, so most problems are dealt with before anyone in your office notices them. Fewer interruptions, less lost productivity.

Business Continuity

Backups are configured, monitored and test-restored — because a backup nobody has tested is only an assumption. If something fails, you keep operating.

Local Sydney Team

You deal with the same people each time, in your timezone, who can be on site when a problem cannot be fixed down a wire. No offshore ticket queue.

Fast Response

Issues are triaged by business impact, so the things stopping your team working are picked up first. Response commitments are set out in your service agreement.

Security First

Security is built into how we configure everything rather than sold separately later — identity, devices, email and access controls treated as one system.

Technology That Scales

Decisions are made with your next stage in mind, so adding staff, a second site or a new compliance requirement does not mean starting again.

FAQ

Questions people ask before they call

There is no hard minimum, but managed agreements tend to make sense once a business has enough staff that IT problems start interrupting other people's work — usually somewhere around five to ten users. Below that, we will tell you honestly if you would be better served by ad-hoc support for now.

No. We take over in stages, starting with monitoring, security and backup so the risks are covered early, then working through the rest on an agreed plan. Your team keeps working throughout, and you will know what is changing before it changes.

We handle the handover professionally. In most cases that means collecting documentation, licences and access in an orderly way. We can also work alongside an existing internal person or provider under a co-managed arrangement if that suits you better.

We work with the platforms most Australian businesses already run — Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Windows, macOS and the common network and storage hardware. Where we have a preference it is based on what we can support well, and we will explain the reasoning rather than just presenting a quote.

Managed agreements are priced monthly based on the number of users and devices and the level of coverage you need. We will not quote a figure before understanding your environment, which is what the free consultation is for.
