The content on this website describes how technology commonly behaves in the sectors we work in, and how we approach it. It is written to be genuinely useful, and it is still general.
It is not legal advice, financial advice, accounting advice or insurance advice, and we are not qualified to give any of those. Where a technology decision has legal, financial or regulatory consequences for you, take advice from someone qualified in that field.
Why IT recommendations are not one-size-fits-all
The right answer for a business depends on things this website cannot know: what you already run, how your staff actually work, what you are contractually obliged to do, what you can reasonably spend, and what would genuinely hurt if it stopped.
Two businesses of the same size in the same industry frequently need different things. Anything we publish here is a starting point for a conversation, not a recommendation for your environment.
Cyber security in particular
Security guidance changes as threats change, and controls that are sufficient today may not be in a year. Where we refer to frameworks such as the ACSC Essential Eight, we do so as a reference point for a conversation — not as a certification, an audit outcome, or a guarantee of any particular level of protection.
No provider can promise you will not be compromised. Anyone who does is telling you something they cannot know. What can be committed to is the work: the controls applied, the monitoring in place, and what happens when something goes wrong.
Compliance obligations are yours
Several sectors we work in carry specific obligations — NDIS providers, healthcare practices, schools, legal and accounting firms. Where our industry pages mention those obligations, we describe what we do technically to support them.
Determining what applies to your organisation, and demonstrating that you meet it, remains your responsibility. We provide technology services, not compliance certification.
Pricing and availability
Any figure or timeframe discussed with you is based on what we understand at the time. Costs can change when scope, licensing, hardware pricing or supplier terms change, and we will tell you if that happens rather than absorbing it quietly or presenting it later.
Service availability depends on capacity and location. We may not be able to take on every engagement, and onsite work depends on where you are.
