Managed IT Services

IT that is looked after before it becomes your problem

Managed IT support for Sydney businesses. One agreement covering your devices, systems, security and the people who use them — for a fixed monthly fee.

The Problem

Why businesses call us

Almost nobody rings a managed IT provider because they are interested in technology. They ring because one of these has become intolerable.

Nobody actually owns it

IT has drifted to whoever is most technical rather than whoever has the time. It is not in their job description, and the things that only matter later — patching, backups, licence renewals — are the things that quietly slip.

You hear about problems too late

The first sign of trouble is a staff member who has already lost half a morning. By then it has cost you the interruption, the fix, and the goodwill of whoever was trying to get their job done.

The costs are unpredictable

Hourly support means a quiet month costs nothing and a bad month costs a great deal, with no way to plan for either. It also means your provider earns more when things go wrong.

Our Solution

One team accountable for the whole environment

A managed agreement puts your technology under continuous care rather than occasional attention. We monitor it, maintain it, secure it and support the people using it — and we are the ones accountable when something is not right.

The commercial structure matters more than most providers admit. Because the fee is fixed, we are paid to keep things working rather than to attend breakdowns. Every hour we spend preventing a problem is an hour we do not spend fixing one.

Scope, coverage hours and response commitments are agreed with you in writing before anything starts, and reviewed as the business changes.

What we take responsibility for

  • Servers, desktops, laptops and mobile devices
  • Operating system and application patching
  • Backup configuration, monitoring and test restores
  • Security tooling across email, devices and identity
  • Day-to-day support requests from your staff
  • Starter and leaver processes, including device setup
  • Licences, warranties and the asset register
  • Coordination with your software and telecoms vendors

What's Included

What a managed agreement covers

These are included as standard, not sold as a premium tier once you are signed.

Proactive monitoring

Your servers, endpoints and network hardware are watched continuously. Disks filling up, failing drives and services stopping are dealt with before they turn into an outage.

Patching and updates

Operating systems and applications are updated on a managed schedule, tested where it matters, and timed so nobody loses a working afternoon to a restart.

Managed backup

Backups are configured, monitored and test-restored. We check that data comes back, because the restore is the part you are actually buying.

Security as standard

Endpoint protection, email filtering and multi-factor authentication are part of the baseline build, using the ACSC Essential Eight as the reference point.

Helpdesk for your team

Your staff get a real technician rather than a ticket queue. Issues are triaged by what is actually stopping people working.

Assets and licensing

We maintain the register of what you own, what it costs and when it expires — so renewals stop being a surprise and you stop paying for seats nobody uses.

How We Deliver

How we take over your IT

Transitions are the part clients worry about most. This is the sequence, and your team keeps working throughout it.

  1. Assessment

We document what you actually have — devices, licences, access, and where the risks sit. Nothing is proposed before this is done.

  2. Planning

We agree what changes, in what order, and when. Anything that will interrupt your team is scheduled around your working week.

  3. Implementation

Work is done in stages so your business keeps operating. You know what is happening on any given day before it happens.

  4. Documentation

Configurations, credentials and procedures are written down and kept current — so support does not depend on one person's memory, including ours.

  5. Monitoring

Systems are watched continuously rather than checked when something is reported. Most issues are picked up before anyone raises them.

  6. Ongoing Improvement

We review what is working at agreed intervals and adjust. Technology that suited you last year may not suit you at twice the headcount.

Business Outcomes

What changes once it is running

Not features. The difference you would notice in an ordinary working week.

01

Fewer interruptions

Most issues are caught and resolved before anyone reports them, so your team spends its day on the work you actually employ them to do.

02

A cost you can budget

One monthly figure instead of unpredictable callouts. Technology becomes a line you can forecast rather than a risk you absorb.

03

New starters ready on day one

Accounts, devices and access are set up as a process we run to a checklist, not a scramble the morning someone arrives.

04

Security handled quietly

Protection is applied consistently across every device rather than depending on who remembered. You are not relying on staff to be the last line of defence.

05

Knowledge that outlives people

Your environment is documented and kept current, so nothing critical lives only in one person's head — including ours.

06

Somewhere to take the question

When you need a decision on spending, a new site or a compliance requirement, there is someone who already knows your setup and will give you a straight answer.

Who It Is For

Who managed IT suits

It is not right for everyone. These are the situations where it clearly earns its place.

Teams of roughly ten to a hundred

Big enough that IT problems interrupt other people's work, not big enough to justify a full internal IT department. This is where a managed agreement makes the most obvious difference.

Businesses with no internal IT

Where technology currently falls to an office manager, a director or the person who is best with computers. We take it off them entirely.

Anyone whose provider only reacts

If your current arrangement is a number you ring when something breaks, you are paying for repairs rather than for things not breaking.

Typical Engagements

How these engagements usually start

Situations we are called into most often. One of these will probably sound familiar.

A business that has outgrown its setup

Headcount has doubled and the arrangements that worked at eight people are visibly straining at twenty. Usually the trigger is onboarding taking days instead of hours.

Replacing a reactive provider

The incumbent is responsive enough but nothing is ever prevented, documentation does not exist, and nobody can say with confidence when the backups were last tested.

Multi-site organisations

A second or third location has been added and each one has quietly evolved its own way of doing things. The goal is one standard, supported the same way everywhere.

Microsoft 365 migrations

Moving off an old mail server or consolidating tenants after a merger, then staying on to run the environment properly rather than handing back the keys.

Hybrid workforces

Staff split between the office, home and client sites, where secure access and device management have never been designed for — only improvised.

An audit or insurance renewal ahead

A questionnaire has arrived asking how data is protected, and the honest answer is that nobody is certain. We establish the controls and the evidence behind them.

Optional

Available on top of the agreement

None of these are required. They are here because clients regularly ask whether we can cover them.

  • After-hours coverage

Extended or out-of-hours support where your operation does not stop at five. Scope and hours are set out in your agreement.

  • Scheduled onsite days

A regular day on site for the work that benefits from someone physically present, and for the questions people save up rather than log.

  • Hardware procurement

Sourcing, configuring and delivering equipment so it arrives ready to use rather than as a box somebody has to deal with.

  • Compliance documentation

Preparing the technical evidence an auditor, insurer or funding body typically asks for, and keeping it current between reviews.

FAQ

Questions about managed IT

The work happens before things break rather than after. Hourly support is reactive by design — nobody is being paid to monitor your backups on a quiet Tuesday. A managed agreement covers that continuous work, and it makes the cost predictable instead of arriving in the months you can least afford it.

Pricing is monthly and based on how many users and devices are covered and what level of support you need. We will not put a figure to it before looking at your environment, because a number quoted blind is meaningless. The IT consultation is how we get to an accurate one, and it is free.

Term options are discussed openly and set out in the agreement before you sign. We would rather you stayed because the service is working than because leaving is difficult.

We handle the handover professionally — collecting documentation, licences and administrative access in an orderly way. We can also work alongside an existing internal person under a co-managed arrangement if that suits you better than a full replacement.

Response commitments are agreed with you and documented in your service agreement, because the right level genuinely differs between a nine-to-five office and a service running on weekends. Issues are triaged by business impact, so whatever is stopping people working is picked up first.

Usually not straight away. The assessment tells us what is genuinely at risk of failing or is no longer receiving security updates, and we will prioritise that. Anything else that can reasonably wait, we will tell you can wait.
