Questions about moving to the cloud

Sometimes, and sometimes not. It replaces a large occasional purchase with a smaller continuous one, which suits most businesses for cash flow reasons even when the total over five years is similar. What it reliably removes is the risk of hardware failing at an inconvenient moment. We model the actual figures for your situation rather than asserting a saving.

That is part of the assessment, and occasionally the honest answer is not yet. If your connection would become the bottleneck, upgrading it is part of the plan rather than a surprise afterwards — and in a few cases it is the reason we recommend waiting.

It becomes a more visible dependency, which is a fair concern. We usually address it with a secondary connection or mobile failover for the systems that genuinely cannot pause. It is worth weighing against how much of your business already stops without internet regardless.

For Australian businesses we default to Australian data centre regions, which matters for a number of sectors with data residency expectations. If your obligations require something specific, tell us during the assessment and it shapes the design.

Technically yes, though it is disruptive enough that the better answer is not migrating something that should not move in the first place. That is why the assessment exists and why we are comfortable recommending against it.
